History

1963 - In August, Margoa Unit, inauguration was held.

1965 - In July, Regional Camp was held at Margoa, hosted by The North West Region.

1971 - In September, Inauguration of Navum unit of Goa was held. Chief Minister of Goa attended the inauguration.

1982 - In November, Orientation Camp, held in Goa. In the camp, the campus decided to

 organize a regional Documentation Centre. Planned a Regional Camp the them “The Mass Media – A Critical Analysis”.

Major Activities Undertaken Since 1992

• Personality Development Session.

• AICUF camp on the Role of Students in Society, Social Problems of Today and         Knowing Goa Better.

• Awareness talk on (a) the Realignment of Konkan Railway Project (b) Hazardous      Nylon6,  6 plant by Thapar Du Pont Limited at Karim, Ponda.

• Camp on the Role of Youth in the service of the Church and Goan Society           organized by Goa DESE.

• Awareness programmes were conducted on Alcoholism and Drug Addiction.

“Today, Goa is becoming a victim of imperialists in the economy through globalisation, penetration, as well as liberalization. As far as tourism is concerned, Goa is to be converted entirely into a luxurious place. The realignment of Konkan Railway is being made, affecting agriculture. If AICUF develops in Goa, it will definitely help in giving valuable assistance to these problems.
